01 Jun Engel & Volkers opens in Oklahoma City
Engel & Volkers North America, an operation of Hamburg, Germany-based luxury property brokerage Engel & Volkers, has opened an office at 1138 N Robinson Ave., led by co-owners and advisers Joy Baresel, president, and Sierra Snowden, managing broker.
“Oklahoma City is experiencing an exciting period of growth and evolution, and it’s undoubtedly the right time for Engel & Volkers to enter this market that is rife with new opportunities and amenities that are attracting homebuyers today and will continue to do so in the future,” said Anthony Hitt, president and CEO, Engel & Volkers Americas. “With these changes, it’s never been more important for homebuyers and sellers to call upon true market specialists to understand trends and neighborhood nuances, and we’ve found that level of expertise and passion for service in Joy, Sierra and their team of local real estate advisers.”
Engel & Volkers specializes in the brokerage of premium residential property, commercial real estate, yachts and aircraft, and has 800 locations in 30 countries working with both private and institutional clients.
“What attracted both Joy and me to Engel & Volkers is the notion that if you work with great people, great business follows,” Snowden said. “That has been my philosophy from Day One. When we embody a culture of leadership, our greatest competition is ourselves, and the status quo is not an option when client service is at the heart of our business. We are thrilled to bring Oklahomans a new level of client service through Engel & Volkers.”
Barasel said the local shop, Engel & Volkers Oklahoma City, has origins similar to the first Engel & Volkers office.
“Engel & Volkers Oklahoma City, much like Engel & Volkers International, was built by two friends with a shared passion to deliver the most unforgettable, professional service experiences to real estate clients,” Baresel said. “Sierra and I both strongly believe that it’s the relationships that matter more than anything else in real estate. We are proud and honored to bring this global luxury brand to Oklahoma. As a city and as a state, we’re more than ready for this incredible level of service, and our clients deserve it,” Baresel said.
Engel & Volkers North America executives participating in the grand opening Thursday included Jack Gettles, vice president of brokerage services; Austin McCown, vice president of expansion; and Jacob Stepan, senior vice president of market development.
