THE case involving Freesoul Real Estate Development (Fiji) Pte Ltd was heard at the Suva Magistrates Court today.
Freesoul lawyer Daniel Toganivalu informed the court they would call four witnesses during trial if there was a case to answer in the matter.
The State informed court that they needed one day for trial for prosecution’s case and they would call two to three witnesses.
Freesoul is charged with one count of undertaking unauthorised developments and one count of failure to comply with a prohibition notice under the Environment Management Act 2005.
Freesoul denies allegations of unauthorised developments on Malolo Island in the Mamanuca Group.
The hearing on the amended charge and further timetabling orders will be heard on August 26 and the continuation of the hearing on the exclusion of evidence now will be heard on September 10.
